Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at jorbinacres@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is also known as a farm share. By paying an amount upfront at the start of the season, you are purchasing a share of the farm's produce. This allows farmers to purchase seeds, equipment, and other supplies needed for the season.

Our 2026 CSA will run every other week from May-October with pickups on Sundays.

In 2026, we will price our shares at $30 per pickup, totaling $360 for the season.

The total value of each share will include a 15% to 20% discount from retail prices.

This year, we’ll also be offering a limited number of egg share add-ons. Eggs are $7 per dozen and come from our backyard flock. With 12 pickups, that’s an additional $84, or $444 total.

Each pickup will contain 6-8 items of what is currently in season.

Our selection of veggies will change throughout the season. Here are some examples of what a CSA share might include:

May: Spinach, radishes, arugula, hakurei turnips, green garlic.

June: Butter lettuce, parsley, scallions, beets, bok choy, sugar snap peas.

July: Summer squash, salad mix, basil, chard, garlic scapes, kale.

August: Heirloom tomatoes, sweet peppers, garlic, tri-color bean mix, cucumbers, watermelon radish.

September: Cherry tomatoes, Italian eggplant, collard greens, herbs, shallots, melons.

October: Winter squash, garlic, onions, kale, rosemary, carrots.

If you choose to add on an egg share, you will also receive 1 dozen eggs at each pickup. Note: we are required to wash the eggs in order to sell them and so they must be kept refrigerated.

Pickups occur every other Sunday at one of the following locations:

  • Lafayette Farmers Market (Downtown Lafayette, between Cleveland & Geneseo St)
    • Time: 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Romero's K9 Club (985 S Public Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026)
    • Time: 3 PM – 5 PM

Pickup dates are as follows:

  • May 10th
  • May 24th
  • June 7th
  • June 21st
  • July 5th
  • July 19th
  • August 2nd
  • August 16th
  • August 30th
  • September 13th
  • September 27th
  • October 11th

No problem! We build some flexibility into our CSA and will provide you the option to swap out items you don't want ahead of each pickup.

Note that flexibility will be greatest during the height of the summer months.

We'll send out recipes throughout the season to correspond with what's in season and in that week's share. We only grow what we love to eat so feel free to reach out whenever and we're always happy to offer recipe recommendations!

We are currently too small to be certified organic; however, we are committed to following organic practices or better than organic practices. For example:

  • We use ZERO pesticides or herbicides
  • We do not use synthetic fertilizers or sprays
  • We focus on building soil health on our time by: minimizing soil disturbance (low-till), using cover crops and mulch to protect and add to our topsoil, and practicing crop rotation, regularly testing our soil to determine what it needs.
