I take on the role of full dreamer and schemer of Jorbin' Acres. I have been an ardent gardener the past several years and just this year, through the support of GoFarm's Incubator Farmer Program have made the leap to starting a market garden. In addition to farming, I have been beekeeping for 3 years and am just starting to dabble in food preservation (so we may have other offerings coming to you in the near-ish future!) Off-farm, my background is in Chemical Engineering and I work in pharmaceutical research, currently focused on early stage oncology drug development.
Ryan
Ryan has been the best support system/voice of reason behind Jorbin' Acres who helps to distill some more preposterous dreams and schemes into plans that can be viably executed. He's been instrumental in helping get our irrigation going and in hauling compost around our plot and heavy coolers around the farmers market. Off-farm, Ryan is also a Chemical Engineer who work focuses on lithium extraction processes. He's also a big hockey fan [got head lettuce in the field AND on the ice :) ] and a great cook so if you ever wanna chat skating or recipes - he's your guy!
